What's the point of having 8GB RAM in lieu of 4GB?

I'm not a designer or anything -- well I do use Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash quite often, other than that I'm just a casual gamer. Do you think i should just go for the 4GB 1600mhz DDR3 Memory or the 8GB? I have GTX 560 TI
