How do I get a home loan after a deed in lieu?

I lived in Nashville where I was laid off from my job in July 2009. I paid the mortgage until Jan 2010. I then was granted permission for a short sale. In February 2010, I moved to Memphis for a new job, where I am currently employed. After the property didn't sell, we entered into the DIL process in August. I just received the DIL. Other than the home loan, no other loans (credit cards) have been late by even a day. How do I go about getting in a new home loan?
