How Do I delete my yahoo account milhous1947@yahoo.com?

I tried to delete my yahoo account milhous1947@yahoo.com several days ago from my cell phone. When I got to the place where it said to click to delete, nothing happened and my account remains open. PLEASE DELETE MY ACCOUNT milhous1947@yahoo.com!!!!!!!!!! You can call me at 760-270-8635 if you wish. The reason I want to delete the account is because some asshole hacked into my account and sent my address book to several people!!! I am afraid to do any business at that address any longer because I do not want hacker emails going out to my friends and people I do business with.
