In lieu of cutting spending in order to avoid a government shutdown...why didn't Obama (or how did he in th?
whether this has anything to do with a failure to pass a budget (prior to the Novemer elections last year), evidently (it seems) that we could not borrow (any more) money for whatever reason, although we have borrowed seemingly endlessy in the past to the point where we now owe China $6 TRILLON. With that said, not that I am in ANY way encouraging any continuance of this type of behavior, which frankly I don't even know how it could have continued when we owed so much money and it is now estimated by financial analysts that the US will NEVER get out of debt. But my question is, if for whatever reason the US was able to borrow money in the past (despite the trillions owed to China among others), then why is it in spite of the chagrin of it could the US not also borrow money this time as opposed to an abrupt cut in funding to particular programs in order to avoid a government shutdown? Is there a reason why we could not borrow in this case, for instance did it have to do with a failure to pass a budget (on time) or lack thereof? Also keep in mind that I doubt if Obama would be too proud to borrow if possible under any circumstances given his past history.
